Talk Nerdy to Me
Many people like to know what kind of therapy a therapist provides. Here you can learn a little bit more about some of the tools in my tool-belt. While my work is grounded in these modalities, therapy with me feels more like a conversation and follows more of an intuitive flow.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
ACT is a powerful framework that can truly help you make significant shifts in your life. Its all about mindfulness, knowing your values, releasing control through acceptance, and taking committed action towards the life you want.
EMDR
EMDR stands for eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing. EMDR can be useful when dealing with trauma or negative self-beliefs that keep you stuck from moving forward in your life.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy is all about owning your story and focuses on the use of powerful questions. These questions may help you see things from a different perspective, or might even challenge your current held beliefs around all of the should's, roles, and societal expectations placed upon you.
Feminist Theory and Intersectionality
My work is deeply rooted in feminist theory and the concept of intersectionality. At its core, feminism is about equality. It's about challenging systems that create and uphold power imbalances, so that everyone, regardless of their intersectional identity, has the same rights, opportunities, and autonomy. It’s not about superiority; it’s about dismantling social structures that limit and oppress. Feminism pushes against the status quo, questioning outdated norms and advocating for a world where people are valued for who they are, not boxed in by rigid expectations. It’s about liberation, choice, and creating a society where everyone can fully show up as themselves.
